Matricaria chamomilla/recutica-distilled from the flower. Inky blue, strong, sweetish, slightly fruity warm herbaceous odor. Many of the same qualities as ROMAN CHAMOMILE. German Chamomile contains chamazulene, a powerful anti-inflammatory agent—Which gives it a deep blue color. This blue crystal is not actually present in the plant, but forms in the oil and only a small quantity is needed.
Generally considered non-toxic, non-sensitizing, non-irritating in low doses. Dilute well for topical use.
