Tarchonanthus Camphoratus—steam distilled from the fresh leaves and flowers. Scent is herbaceous and floral with a camphoraceous top note. It is known by many different names such as African Wild sage, Kanferbos, Wild Camphor Bush. Hottentot Tobacco, Sage Wood, Wild Cotton, African Flea Bane. Tribes in Kenya have used the tree for hundreds of years.
CAUTIONS: Generally considered safe and non-toxic, it is highly concentrated and requires specific precautions, particularly for sensitive groups. Should always be mixed with a carrier oil to minimize the risk of skin sensitivity or irritation. Very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects; do not dispose of it in waterways or drains.
