Lemon Tea Tree

Leptospermum petersonii—steam distilled from the leaves of hardy, bushy tall shrub with fine narrow leaves and small white to pink flowers, native to Australia.  Has a round lemon scent with back-notes reminiscent of Citronella and Lemongrass. But most say it smells much nicer than either. The medicinal notes are much more subtle than regular Tea Tree.  It is used extensively in the perfumery, cosmetic, and aromatherapy industries. The fresh, citrusy leaves can be used to add a soft lemon flavor to fish dishes, salads, and teas. 

CAUTIONS: Since citral and citronellal are said to be powerful skin irritants, always use diluted in direct skin applications. Do not apply to sensitive areas, avoid using while pregnant or nursing, and avoid use around pets or small children
