Cajeput


Melaleuca minor, M. cajeputi, M. leucadedron var. cajeputi  is distilled from the leaves, buds and twigs.    A cousin of Tea Tree, but is chemically more like Eucalyptus.   Has a fresh, camphorous aroma with a slight fruity note-- stated to resemble the combined fragrance of camphor, rosemary, and cardamom. Called White Wood, White Tea Tree, Punk Tree and Swamp Tea Tree. Used in throat lozenges, gargles, soaps, cosmetics, detergents and perfumes.   An ingredient in Tiger Balm muscle rub and  Olbas Oil decongestant.   At around $5 an ounce, it should be in everyone's arsenal of oils! 


CAUTIONS: Possible skin irritation; could be sensitizing. Better suited for diffusing or inhalation. Do not diffuse near or apply to the face of children 6 years of age or younger.
