Marjoram

Origanum marjorana-distilled from the flowering herb.  Has a warm, woody, spicy camphorlike odor.  There are several varieties including Hortensis and Wild Marjoram.  OREGANO is closely related and is similar in personality, but more rustic. These are versatile herbs, used by the ancient Greeks. Used as a fragrance component in soap, cosmetics, and perfumes.  Used to flavor meats, sauces, as well as soft drinks.

Generally considered non-toxic, non-sensitizing, non-irritating in low doses.  Dilute well for topical use.  Best suited for diffusing and inhalation. Do not use for asthmatic conditions or with low blood pressure.
