Ginger




Zingiber officinale-distilled from the unpeeled, fresh root.  Fresh, woody, spicy scent. Be wary that your ginger oil is not distilled from the dried roots, as it may be "unpleasant". Blends well with SANDALWOOD, VETIVER, PATCHOULI, FRANKINCENSE, ROSEWOOD, CORIANDER, CEDAR, ROSE, LIME, NEROLI, ORANGE, and other citrus.  Used as a fragrance component in cosmetics and perfumes, and extensively in food and drinks.  Contains:  gingerin, gingenol, gingerone, zingiberene, linalol, camphene, phellandrene, citral, cineol, borneol,etc.


CAUTIONS: Generally considered non-toxic. Possible sensitizer and irritant.  Dilute well for topical use.
