Fennel

Foeniculum vulgare dulce-distilled from the crushed seeds.  Has a sweet, anise-like, slightly earthy-peppery, spicy, woody scent. Used in cough drops, food flavorings, soaps, perfumes. There is also a "Bitter Fennel" variety piperitum with a spicier, less sweet aroma.

CAUTIONS: Generally considered non-toxic, non-sensitizing, non-irritating in low doses.  Dilute well for topical use.  Best suited for diffusing and inhalation.  Avoid during pregnancy. Not for infants or small children.
